Dina Meyer was born in Forest Hills, Queens, New York, but moved to Dix Hills, Long Island, just before her last year in junior high school. She has two younger siblings and an older brother. She began her career in entertainment when she was nine years old and did modeling. Her career in acting began with The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was studying the techniques of Sanford Meisner with Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock has received the same training as Jeff Goldblum and Leslie Nielsen. Her first role was in Beverly Hills 90210 which forced her to relocate from Beverly Hills to Los Angeles. After being offered the lead part for Johnny Mnemonic where she did all of the stunts her own, she proved her self as an actor that is athletic. With the help of her agent, who manages Matt LeBlanc she scored a part as a guest on Friends.
